OBD2 reader
I now have 2 OBD2 cars and decided to get a code reader.
They are kinda pricey so looking around found this.
Got it today. The disc that comes with it has some free OBD2 software on it and them some pirate copies with cracks. So kinda shady.
But the cable worked connected it to my 96 Jeep and it read a CEL code I have had for awhile and had a parts house read awhile back.
The best part though.
Parts house just gave me a generic exhaust or fuel cap problem.
This told me catalytic converter efficiency lower than expected.
Not bad for $20 bucks and between the free software and the pirated software it looks like it can read anything OBD2.
