Japanese Supercars: Subaru BRZ Turbo and Acura NSX will be unveiled in 2013

So they are giving a new engine to the chassis?

Theres no way this car will stay NA only.
As soon as sales slip, the boosted one will be out.
Mark my words.Anything else would be a marketing fail.

Seeing as how they are no longer taking orders for cars... I don't think you'll see sales slipping. Remember, this car is a low-volume line. And most don't stay on the lot longer than a couple days before sold. Especially if they are 6MT.

They do have a turbo version on this engine out, but I'm skeptical they are going to bring one to market any time soon. Even better if they do. I'll sell mine and buy one of those!

Subaru has only built 3000 BRZs worldwide. And over 8000 GT86/FRS. With such limited number, they would have to add an entirely new line for turbo models. If it were a vehicle they could sell in high enough volumes, they might do that. They did, after all, bring the STI to market in 2004.

this car will not be turbocharged. like coheed has said, they sell so little of them, its not worth it to them.. they will have the aftermarket fix that issue..lol

I think they will ramp up production if it holds a premium in the market. There are quite a few of the AT ones around here. I thought they made slightly more like in the 18-20k range. Regardless its the first year of production I wouldn't be surprised if they start making more. They are committed to developing this platform and since I'm a cheapskate I hope they make it more commercially available after the initial splash pushes out. Particularly for Scions.

I think we'll see a turbo version within the first generation. Probably at or just after the mid-cycle face-lift.

They are finishing production on the 2013 models, and getting ready for the 2014 models in January. By march, the rollover will be finished.

My question is... which is the best way to go? Supercharger, or Turbo?

are you in a rush to add FI to this car? maybe wait it out a bit and see how each one performs.

I am worried about emissions. I want this to be easy-BRZ. Easy breezy. I want it to perform well, but still retain the factory emissions equipment. Including the cats. That's why I have decided on one of these two kits:

And for turbo

decisions decisions! that S/C kit looks pretty sweet, and the ease of install looks like a winner to me!
