For those of your that are wondering - this car is configured in a way that I would feel 100% comfortable delivering to a customer. We all want this car to go fast, but what's most important is testing out this package in the way a customer would want it.

If you want the BRZ-400 package, and have e85 local - this is the way you could drive it every single day.

Regular Pumpgas won't be as impressive, but a simple meth injection kit can bring the performance very close to this e85 configuration.

Road course car need not to worry.

I've been testing a very similar setup and it's been taking very abusive 20-30 minute track sessions.

Car details -

440WHP 340WTQ - DynoJet 224

STOCK LONGBLOCK.

Accelerated Performance BRZ-400 Turbo Kit @ 20PSI
AEM Tru Boost Controller
Stock Header
Accelerated Performance catless turbo back exhaust
OMNI 4 BAR Map Sensor
DW65 Pump
DW900 Injectors
Exedy Clutch

Car was tuned using the factory computer using EcuTek RaceRom.

That's 20psi on a 12.5:1 N/A motor, along with that, it's a Subaru engine and everything I've read about the boxer engines is that they need forged internals to make any good power and even then not so reliable(in comparison to evo's). No way. Maybe I'd try this on a 15 year old car, but not a brand new one. I'd wait a couple years until people figure these cars out before putting boost on it.

It's also direct injected (well and port injected) so fuel can be injected during compression. The owner of that car owns the shop building those kits and already has custom wiseco pistons and forged rods on the way, but he's pushing the stock parts harder and harder until they eventually fail. It's a daily driven car with several hundred dyno pulls.

Ringland problems in the EJ motors don't necessarily relate to the FA motors. The ringlands on the FA20 pistons look stronger at least, which I admit doesn't mean much.

There are at least 2 of these cars running over 400whp currently and a number of daily driven cars running ~300whp. So far the only failures have been clutches, which happened at a drag strip with MT drag radials....

This kit is also 100% no cut which is great for a new car (I don't like cutting metal on my new cars anyways).

The only thing holding me back from boosting mine is the ECU tuning solution. I'm not an ECUTek fan and would prefer a realtime solution. ProEFI, AEM, and HalTech are in prototype stage right now.
