Mine stopped selling them due to them being returned with issues.Like i said, quality down the drain with them. Hell car toys, and stereo king in my area even stopped due to complaints and retruns on them not being at all like they were. I miss when they were still quality, instead of bought out by a cheap ass company. Cost less near me started selling the duracell batteries instead of them for a while, now they have a few redtops on the shelves.

Apparently it was interstate that bought optimas. As people have been saying, the last few years battery tech has gone way up, you can get good life now out of a simple interstate which is cheaper than a red top, and owned by the same company.

I used some of the power cells when i had my bass monster (2000 Durango, 4x 18" kicker solo x, 4x 10k.1d amps, 4 kinetik power cells and 4 tsunami 40 farad capacitor blocks, nodded second alternator, 12mpg highway LOL) and they held charge similar to the capacitors, draining within minutes of shutting the truck off.

PS, guys on DIYMA all swear by Sears die hard platinum. Even over interstate/optima. That's interesting...

Product Page

I'm guessing part because of warranty as well.

I rarely buy batteries, but I also rarely have a car for more than a year. I'll likely end up buying some tiny battery, but I don't run a big stereo or anything. Highest load it will ever see is both windows getting rolled down, with a radio on.
