I'm thinking it will go into the WRX, and the STi will get the 2.0? That'd be nice if they'd make a DIT 2.5

I have reservations about the boxer engine. I would like to see how it will respond to mods. If it can respond even half as well as the hondas, then it will be a great motor. But having a chassis that is well-tuned for this market and using the wrong engine could hurt them in the long run.

I think the car is fantastic. I want one. I haven't wanted a car this bad since my high school days dreaming of a WRX. The BRZ strikes a chord with me in a way I can't describe. If I had one, I would just enjoy it how it is for a while. Enjoy the AC, better gas mileage than my GA16 sentra.

I really cannot wait to see one of these motors pumping out some 350whp or so with a simple supercharger setup and some minor engine work.

I haven't been a big fan of the EJ motors. The rod bearings and crank journals are small. They weren't designed to rev. They like to burn through pistons, especially #3. I am hoping this engine marks a new era for the boxer engine. Chain driven, square motor, designed to rev. It could be a great little motor, but we won't know until people start tearing into them.

If I could have this car, making 350whp, and still having AC etc, I would do it. And I'm excited for anyone who has the opportunity to do it.

Stick around for the track impressions by none other than Randy Pobst (FF to about 6:39).

Thumbs up from him is 'nuff said for me. I mean, listen to how excited he gets!
