My opinion is that it isn't all that special because they reused a lot of the design of the suspension.... There is fact to it. If you want to use a writers opinion that it is special for other reasons to counter that.... by all means go ahead.

I'm curious to know what you think about the Porsche Cayman then...40% of it's underpinnings are derived from the Boxter and Carrera 997, but by your logic there isnt anything "special" about this either

and writer's review note the Cayman to give you one of the best driving experiences from a production vehicle...but what do these "writer's" know!

I have and I don't. It is a great car also... but again there isn't anything "special".

You are comparing apples and oranges. Writers and you are throwing this word around and not thinking of the definition. What makes the BRZ special? Low CG? Been done many times before. Good handling with low power? Been done many times before. Good looking car? Been done many times before. IMO there isn't anything ground breaking or special about it...

Plus I don't think the writer's know anything... I've been used as a source multiple times.

There has been one in Plano for like a month or something. I didn't even bother to go look at it and the dealership that got it in is a 5 minute walk away.

what make's the BRZ/FRS/86 special is that you wont find majority of these aspects on a car that's under $50k...maybe the EVO/STi as an exception, and hence the reason it's being praised so highly.

Lol at that. That isn't special. Like I said before, but you ignore... It is a good car and will perform well.... So it should get great reviews.

NC Miata to name another one, Genesis to name another....
