so i picked up 13whp and about 10 ftlbs on my pump map, less boost.

car is loud as hell. gate opens at 15.5 psi so i dont hear it if i dont want to.

car doesnt creep at all now, very happy about that.

car will be retuned on e85 in the spring, and should pick up another 30whp/50tq

Very nice Rob! That's a sweet gain. I was suffering from over boost but discover it was the wastegate rod hitting the heat shield. Since fixing the problem it hasn't come back yet.

the vf turbos are known to overboost in the cold. my tuner tunes stock injector cars to like 16 psi to help prevent it. i need to put a muffler on the dump tube, its ungodly loud and i have scared the shit out of numerous people walking on the sidewalk..

<3 Subaru dealer, OEM parts are as cheap or cheaper then aftermarket versions. Case and point is axle seals, Advance Auto sold me seals for $11 each that wouldn't have even fit, went to the Dealer and got them for $7 each. Just got 5 crank/cam seals, $35 total, on eBay they are going for $29 + 4 shipping.

If Subaru can have OEM parts this cheap, I don't see why Nissan or others charge so much....

I love my cheap Subaru parts that I get for my Legacy. Nissan OEM parts are ridiculous compared to prices for the similar Subaru part.

On another similar note:
I bought a brake switch for my wife's 98 Land Rover Discovery about a month ago. Fucking $135! For a fucking brake light switch! For a piece of shit truck that is 16 years old!

It just sucks when it comes down to replacing motors, an EJ255 or EJ257 will run you up 2k easily. But JDM turbo 2.0's are 700-800. If mine goes might do a 2.0 conversion...

I don't directly own a Subaru but I drive a '10 Impreza sometimes. My bolt on VVL with some weight taken out was completely dead even with a brand new STi which was pretty good, but it was totally stock. The guy was impressed, but just a little tinkering with it and I'd lose of course

Edit: oops Benito didn't like this post, so sorry

Sigh; Every single thread reads "My name is Jordan and I have a VVL B13 with N1 cams and 206hp bla bla bla"
