The 530i was next. Again, totally stock (manual transmission). I think they are rated at 235 HP. BMWs don't like dynos because the traction control and stability needs to be turned off but the stability control sometimes can't be turned off completely. Also the ABS system freaks the fuck out if the rear tires spin too much compared to the fronts. All sorts of engine codes usually pop up unless you can put the ECU in "dyno" mode. Don't tell the owner! =D
I love the Style 32 wheels. The body color is really nice too.
The BMW put down around 195 WHP which seemed a little low to me and the rest of us. I noticed the car took for ever to complete the pull so I checked what gear he was dynoing in and what weight was put in the dyno software for the car (to apply load). They were doing it in 5th gear and the weight was 4,200 lbs. Apparently the car owner asked for 5th gear and he said it weighed 4,200 lbs. I was like "Ummm, let's check that. I think it's more like 3,500 or so."
We looked it up online and that's about what they weigh so we changed that and I told him to have it done in 4th gear. After that he was at 210 WHP which is way more in line with what he should expect anyway.
It was time for the Camaro.
The Camaro was the last car. He started out making 270 WHP I believe and after some tuning with fuel ended up at 300 WHP or there-abouts from the LT1. He has an exhaust on there, maybe a cam. I don't remember. That's still pretty impressive for an LT1 with minor mods. He makes about the same power as me, so I challenged him to a drag race. That hasn't happened yet but my guess is I will destroy him. =/
Cheers!
