How To : Remove Cylinder Head Valves
Im Using A Over The Top Valve Spring Compressor By OEM (Item # 27040)

Before I Started I Got The Follow Things To Help Me Keep Organized

*Valve Spring Compressor
*Screwdriver With Magnet Tip Or Magnet Tool
*2x4(2) "To Keep Head Off The Table Or Work Bench"
*Cardboard Box "To Keep The Valves In Order"
*Some Type Of Bucket "I Used To Keep My Springs In Degreaser"
*Sandwich Bags(2) "1 For Intake Side & 1 For Exhaust Side"
*Plastic Wrap "I Used To Individually Wrap Each Rocker Arm\Plates\Clamps Together
*Black Marker "To Label Parts"
*White Out Or Paint "Used To Identify The Intake & Exhaust Springs Apart"

To Use The Compressor You Must Put In Between The Spring Coils(Long Legs Of The Compressor) & Use The Center Piece & Place On Top Of The Retainer

I Started Working On The Exhaust Side

Springs In

Spings Out

Valves Being Placed In Order (Working My Way From Left To Right)

Rocker Arms , Rocker Arm Plates , Spring Clamps Seperated
NOTE : Rocker Arms Are Being Replace Due To Wear

Rocker Arms , Rocker Arm Plates , Spring Clamps Wrapped Individually

This Where I Placed The Springs In A Container With Degreaser (I Used Red Paint To Mark My Intake Springs & Retainers)

This Is All The Valves In Order & Rocker Arms With Small Parts In Bags

If You Any Questions Hit Me Up

I'd go to your local salvage yard and get new rocker arms, they look really worn out, if you can feel a flat spot when you rub your finger where the cam makes contact, its time to get new ones, or find better ones.
