I didn't block them off at all, why bother!

Excuse my lack of knowledge here... but won't antifreeze leak out of them? Wait... it just occured to me that antifreeze doesn't run through there at all, but actually atf does correct?

I capped them because moisture/dirt will build up inside the transmission ports, especially in extreme hot/cold environments. Whether it works or not, a couple bucks for caps to prevent the transmission cooler from decaying is well worth it.

In theory, (not ATF) coolant will leak out of it if the ATF cooler begins to rot out after a few years.

ATF only potentially leaks if you hook up the lines, which means you don't need the caps. The ports face backward so the chance of stuff getting in them is negligible. Also, it doesn't matter if you have a manual if stuff does get in there.

Sorry didn't mean to say ATF would leak out in my last post, meant to say coolant would leak out if the ATF cooler was to decay. I agree with coach, caps are not necessary, and chances of debris getting in there is pretty slim.

I capped mine anyway just to be sure my radiator has a long happy life and because of OCD.

So who is actually running this radiator on their auto P11 and if so, did you use stock fans, or slim fans?

The stock fans fit on this radiator regardless if you're running a manual or auto setup. All of these radiators have built in trans coolers, so it is compatible with auto and manual. The only additional piece you should purchase if throwing this radiator into a P11 is longer hose for the coolant overflowport, on this radiator, it points in the opposite direction of the coolant reservoir tank, about an extra 4-5 inches worth of hose does the trick, or purchase a entire new hose like most people do.

I installed my radiator a few days ago... tabs on the bottom of the fan needed ground down to fit into the tabs on the new radiator, this was mentioned in another thread. No big deal though. Got to say for less than $100, you really can't beat it. I polished it some with rouge, blinged up nicely for a quick polishing.

Pics..
