ah i see, that soon.

well i'll be a few weeks before funds are all there so i won't waste your time on this test one.

still trying to decide if it looks like it'll be ok for the rhd too

I’m hoping to buy the test one from Greg.

Will be fitting it to a RHD model, The measurements I have done it looks like it will clear

We looked at the firewall. If the brake parts are mounted exactly opposite there should be room. But I don't know if they are closer or farther from the strut tower than a LHD.

yeh having studied pics of my bay both with and without engine, and the above ones of the plenum kit i'm pretty sure it will.

In which case give me a few weeks and i'll be ordering one.

How much for the 45* elbow extra?

Will they be making a thermal gasket like they do for the 20ve kit?

the 45* should be the same price as the 78*. $89.50

I would think that the 1" thick resin base would be a pretty good thermal gasket.

or alternatively can't the TB flange be welded on at an angle from the start like with the 20ve ones have as an option?

surely the plenum kit isn't really useable or saleable otherwise, as the q45 TB won't fit as it is

You can notch the seam there. And keep in mind, these plenums were originally designed for RWD. We have to make do with FWD issues, though Rich is very cool about getting some things done. Like the 45* elbow. Heck even making the N1 plenum. I kept bugging him and sent him the gaskets to do it. We'll figure out a good solution. Even with all the things necessary, it's still cheaper or the same as buying an N1 OEM setup.

very true re. rwd/fwd

still looks awesome, i will be ordering in january.

one more thing, what length are the n1 runners? so what total runner length are we looking at with the 1" resin base?

craig it should work with RHD, that line in the firewall right below the manufacturers code plate is the marker... the brake booster sits right below that line and that plenum setup is above it if you look closely... Id give you a go ahead on that purchase sir...

Gregg, consider flipping the Q45, and having the throttle wheel up in the air rather than the tps being right on the firewall... maybe that will sort the clearance issue
