Thread: P11 Final Drive Gears

I need a price on everything I will need to put the P11 final drive gears into a B15 transmission (i need the gears themselves as well).

I don't know what all is involved, but if you could get a quote out to me that would be terrific.

It is easy.

Pull gear stacks and differential out.

Pull everything off the B15 mainshaft gear stack.

Press everything onto P11 mainshaft.

Swap the B15 ring gear for the P11 ring gear on the differential.

Put everything back in.

You have to have a press to do the mainshaft swap, but it is easy. We had to heat 1 sleeve that didn't want to budge coming off.

Cost was a little over $300 when I bought from Greg earlier this year for the main shaft and ring gear. I would also recommend while you are at it to replace bearings and seals. I just did: input shaft bearing, striker seal, both axle seals, and input oil seal.

Should I replace just those things you did, or is there more that could be replaced while I am in there?

You could replace more, but those are higher wear items IMO.

Exactly what Nathan said. about $300 for the gears (unless the price went up, which is possible). Add a bit more for seals and bearings.

Also, I need an output yoke seal off of a 1990 Hardbody 2wd SE 5 speed transmission (KA24E engine) if you can get that on the quote too. Thanks!
