I must be doing something wrong. i tryed 68ohms and it fried the resistor. I tried the 100k ohm the light came back on with in a few miles of driving. Yesterday i put in 68k ohm and the light came on again with in few miles of driving.

Now seeing that we can remove the egr trouble code with this resistor, would it still cause us to burn more gas, or does our cars only do this when the cel light is on?

I used a 68k ohm 1/4 watt resistor. The wattage doesn't matter but I threw that in there. When you guys do this curl the ends of the resistor before you shove it in the plug. Make sure it's in nice and tight and then wrap the end with electrical tape to prevent dirt and water from getting in there. I like to tuck it into the intake runners to prevent it from flopping around.

Now all of you should either be using a block off plate or cutting and plugging the vac line between the BPT and the EGR. This will prevent the egr from opening. So no worries about taking in unmemtered air or anything. I get 30mpg on my p11 turbo. So I don't think I'm burning excess fuel.

I'll try this. right now I have the EGR plugged in but not hooked up to anything, just zip-tied out of the way but plugged in.

Do the P11/B15s have just a 2-prong plug? I thought mine looked bigger than the one pictured (I have a B15).

The resistor trick does not work on b15's or RR p11's. Only regular low ports that utilized the EGR temp sensor.
