Thread: Question on swapping parts on gt3582

Okay well,

I have a garrett gt3582 but was wondering...the turbine on the exhuast side is messed up....can i order a new piece for this and replace it???thanks

you got the one off ebay?? the entire CHRA is not serviceable per Garrett and ATP, a new one is about $950,

unless your looking for the housing, if yes you can get a new housing that's about $200-$300 depending on what inlet and outlet you want. check ATP.

unfortunately the chra must be replaced. Nobody rebuilds those turbos, and garrett doesn't sell new wheels for the turbine or the compressor.

Hmm okay i c oh well i was giving it to for free(was giving to me when i bought a turbo kit for my other car-used of course)...The reason I asked is he said something about I can have garrett replace that part for like 400 bucks since he called them.I dont think he wanted to deal with it, so he went and got a garrett gt3582(newer version?) i beleive it is(gotta look it up) with custom innovated trim thats rebuildable?guess the housings still good though.

hey gino what exhaust housing does it have?? meaning the a/r. is it a v-band? lmk.

no the one i have for the g35 kit has v band but the one thats one the messed up turbo is the 4 bolt flange kind
