I think it's mechanical cause it came with the plastic tube to run to the oil line., I'm gonna see if Vdubya63 calls me so when can test out his autometer, if not I'm gonna get one soon.

Thanks alot guys, I love this new forum, no flaming on Turbo Noobies! Woot!

UPDATE: I just popped the hood and looked at the plastic tube that runs from the guage to the T fitting, and there is no oil in the plastic tube...there should be some in there right???

Just for the record, I hit triple digits (100psi+) with my RR. I know RRs, and VEs have an upgraded oil pump. I believe DETs had a stronger pump too.

Do yourself a favor and go electric and call it a day.

God forbid one day you start taking oil in the cabin .

thats why Autometer is the best bang for the buck. Get electric oil press not mechanical.

plus autometer has been making gauges since like the beginning of time
so i trust them to mak a quality product, plus if you buy them from somwhere like jegs they have a lifetime warrenty

I have glow shift gauges they have never given me a problem. The gauge could be installed wrong, when I first put mine in I didn't have it on a strong ground and shot up to 100 psi. Now it is fine and works like a champ, along with my boost and water temp. Also I saw that you said something about it being mechanical...well that was your first mistake, mine is electric you never want to have any fluid running into the cabin.

Sorry guys, I'm such a freakin NOOB! I do have an electrical guage. I just went on the website, and they don't even sell that guage in mechanical.

Hmm bad ground??? where is your ground hooked up? I had someone else hook these up, so I don't know where the ground is.
