Hi Guys.
I got a used "Disco Potato" Gt2860RS but the CHRA does not have any Nameplate. It actually looks as if it came off. The compressor housing and Turbine housings are real garrett for sure. There is also a Number ( serial number? ) on the side of the CHRA . There are some letters in the casting as well. With the flood of non- Genuine alternatives I'd like to know what I have.
I have pictures below of the CHRA as well as the compressor wheel, I took off the Compressor cover. There is no abnormal play in the shaft either side to side or in and out. The previous owner claims it was used for 3 months then left in storage for a couple of years. The compressor wheel leading edges does seem a bit rough.
Some oil was in the compressor cover I cant tell if this would have some from a leaking shaft seal or from intake. Because the Compressor wheel is pretty clean. I welcome your thoughts on this turbo and it's condition Please.

CHRA PICS ..
SEE The "2/4 " in the casting here

THE NUMBER ON THE SIDE OF THE CHRA. Is this some sort of Serial Nnumber?

Compressor wheel Pics. See the edges and the numbers in the wheel

The place where the tag may have been. I feel a little point on the bottom RHS of that sode of the CHRA probably where the rivet was attached?

Gunk in the compressor housing see the black on the inner circumference .. Could this have meant an oil leak from the fron seal ring ?

Thoughts opinions will be greatly appreciated. I've searched the web and couldn't find much details.
