Is your car hella flush? check your oil pan too make sure its not dented and not enough oil is making into the head. Dont take much for that to happen.

So I think I may have found what's causing the sound in my motor, thanks to the help @Boostlee gave me.

So I have BC264 cams in my car and on the intake side has a slight issue on the first rocker.

On the first rocker closest to the timing chain, you can see that the lobe is out of round and has sort of a flat spot.

Here are a few pictures below:

Just to help explain the pictures

Basically the first lobe on the intake cam (the lobe closes to the core support) has simply squared itself off and instead of having a smooth radius, now makes almost a block shape.
The lobe also has damage and scoring. Pretty much useless unfortunately

Charles, another thing I just thought about: Valves. The the cam lobe took such a beating, it's makes me wonder if the valves did as well. Probably not, but something to think about if a new cam doesn't fix the issue.

I also have a set of stock cams if you would like to try out to see if the noise goes away.

Buy from Keo with confidence

Also, to note Charles (I was mentioning this last night). I wouldn't go with BC again as (which is evidence here), the blanks they use are of curpar quality.
