What's this sound?
I have been hearing this sound since I accidently over revved my car. This is a red top s3 sr20det built motor. He'll I have put about 4k miles on it since and even got done tuned. Is this normal or?

i'd pop the vc an take a look for missing shims/tossed rockers, chain slap from broken chain tensioner or something, if all is well proceed to compression test, if all is not well then report back, if compression test is ok an nothing is out of place i would then drop the oil pans and inspect the rods for abnormal movement or obvious sign of bearing failure.. you can also sometimes see on the rod or block where contact is being made, thats usually with the real heavy knockers tho..

One other thing, I took my oil cap off the other day and it seems like it's most definitely coming from the head. So I guess I will start there as suggested. Thanks Josh!

My favorite thing to do is take the video and put the audio in some editing software so I can see the frequency of the noise and compare that to the engine speed. Noise happening at same frequency as engine? Bottom end issue. Tapping frequency at half engine speed? Head issue.

That sounds like light tapping and slower, so probably a head issue.

The first time i tried to watch that video YouTube only wanted to serve up the 4K resolution version (WTF is with phones these days?!) so it brought this shitty computer to its knees.
Lanscape mode in the future please!

Lol its a Precision 60 trim with a stage 5 wheel very identical to a 6262 without the newer technology. Hence it will spool slower but is a 600hp turbo.
