Alright but the thing is I drove the car into the shed in the morning and it was driving perfectly and pulling dead straight once it got traction in 3rd.
Drove out of the shed a couple hours later and hadn't changed ANYTHING except the shaft, as soon as I'm driving home it pulls right under load.
All your suggestions certainly have merit, but the fact is it drove perfect one minute, swapped in a new shaft and now it doesn't.

So as some have suggested, it could be wheel alignment and I've booked it in for Friday to get that checked.
Again though, I don't see how as I didn't touch the strut.

I think the shaft might not be quite right somehow...

I still feel like the alignment is out though, so I will get it checked.

Here you go...

That shouldn't affect alignment though should it?
It can only come out of one position and go back in the exact same position?

You will never set it 100% the same without proper wheel alignment. You changed your toe. I will start from here. I dont thin shaft itself has something to do with it...

Alright well I just had the car up on stands and had a look under it.
I measured the old shaft vs new and they were the exact same length from the 3 bolts to the abs ring.
However, the new shaft's inner CV boot was really bunched up, so I'm not sure if it's possible for the shaft to be compressing in on itself??

Anyways, car still tugs right, and after doing a bunch of testing on the way home, it does it worst at low speeds and in the lower gears. 1st, 2nd, 3rd definitely worse than 4 or 5.
And then the instant I back off the throttle, car starts going left again.

So it's ONLY under power that it goes right and I don't see how that can be alignment...but I guess I'll know tomorrow afternoon - alignment time!

Bad tie rod or ball joint will have a similar effect.. make sure those are good before doing an alignment so u dont have to do it again

Ahkay true, thanks lynch.

Well I had my wheel alignment yesterday and it was pretty much spot on, the car still pulls right and shakes the steering wheel like a hoe.
There's also a metal on metal squeal/grind above 50km/h now, so I'm pulling this shaft out, getting a refund on it and getting my old one rebuilt.
Hopefully that does it.

I have a boosted P10 and I also too noticed the same torque steer after replacing the OEM rigth shaft for a beefy rebuilt Auto zone shaft.

Exact same humming sound after 50mph, its dangerous driving it because it pulls right then shoots to the left.

The problem with mine is sourcing a OEM P10 axle is hard.

There you go!
Thank you very much for chiming in man, so maybe it is the extra weight of the shaft that is messing things up?
I think mine is too long also.

Yepp the shaft was the issue.

Must have been out of spec. Had the old shaft rebuilt and reinstalled, voila, drives perfect again

Back a couple months ago I took my brother for a ride in the 92 SE-R VE, I punched it in 1st gear from a stop and the wheel jerked hard to the left, so hard to the left, that my brother accused me of "faking" it - lol.

i had the same//similar problem & it turned out that the lca bushin (front) was trashed...it looked fine, but the back side was gone..

I was in the same boat as you & decided to break everything down... when i did that, thats when i noticed the rear of the front ?LCA bushing being toast... replaced it & car didnt do it again..
