Going map from maf.
What's you guys thoughs about going map based on a sr20ve+t project.?

I was talking to my tuner and he said I could go with a z32 maf sensor. A used maf is the same price as a aem or similar map sensor. It can also clear up quite a bit in my bay.

I'm not to well versed as my build currently is on paper and I'm in the process of accumulating parts and information.
I'm going with a water meth kit. So I was wondering if this would interfere with the map sensor. Seeing that they all take place in the intake.

I also am not sure about what type of management system I should go with.

Aem ems or haltech 2000.

Thoughts so far is.
Sr20ve stock.
550cc or something bigger.
Gtir T28 and later upgrade to a gt2871.
Water meth.
Standalone management.
Full exhaust system.

Might go with the aem coils. But will keep stock at first.

MAP will be fine, no damage will be done to it if you spray.

You don't need water/meth injector, your driving a sr20 car not a Mazda speed lol. As stated above nismotronic SA is the best option for our car for under 1k$. Based on your parts list I would not spend the money on haltech, aem is awesome but not needed. Bacisally run what your tuner can install and tune so set your bugdet make them stick to it. Search this forum for more info it's all been done and can be found here.mgood luck.

I really need to do some more research on that nismotronic.
It's continues to pop up.
Not sure how I can do it. As I'm located in the Caribbean.

Go with MAP. Less limitation easier to tune. Stay away from AEM coils. Run the authentic Denso ones.

But from what it looks like, running a Z32 MAF in your setup might work out just fine. Really dont need a standalone for it. Nistune or equivalent will work.

Key is to keep it simple. Dont try to over-do it or complicate things lol

From the sound of your post you dont know that Nismotronic SA supports MAP, flexfuel, and many other things...

You can also use it with COP but you'd need to get a S13 SR20 ECU to install the NEMU board into instead of the B13 ECU. (4 ignition outputs vs 1)

Right now I'm researching what gearbox to go with.
Cable type sr18.
Sr16 with lsd.
Sr20 p11.
Going in get the ve working full potential. Then possibly boost.

Will send him a message. Thanks.

i like the sr16 lsd one. until the boost bit comes anyway.

nismotronic may help with ease of changing maps when you need to, and e-tune could help you too. john recently e-tuned a det in australia with good results.

maybe consider some p12 vet cams. work good in n/a ve as well as vet.
