i wonder if clear coat would effect the temps in any way.

On most of my turbo cars they FMIC is painted black. Can I say it helps, no - but I always thought that it would. Nice to know I was right.

Also the stealth factor is nice too.

I have always flat blacked my FMIC. I watch my take air temps and they are the same as my buddies car with a non painted FMIC. Plus I like my car to sleep, no one knows it's rocking a huge snail.
