enlighten me on this oil drain conundrum
I bought a rebuilt t25 off this guy, everything looked straight, but I'm having some issues with oil and coolant lines lining up. I thought it was a regular u12 t25.

Observe the oil return in the block which has worked fine with 2 previous t25's


Now notice the oil drain orientation


What's the deal?

bend the pipe or get a rubber hose and cut that 90 bend out

Yeah, I figured that's what I end up doing, but unless I'm really confused and the new turbo came with this piece, I've used it on two other turbos. I need to dig around and see if there's another one floating around.

heat up the drain fitting and bend it so it lines up.

Thanks. I think I might just cut it, the fitting in the block protrudes further than it appears in the pic, even bending this one its not going to line up right because its too long.

A 90* piece of tube is something they would have at vato zone or advance.

didnt i read your coolant lines weren't lining up also? if so sounds like you might need to clock the center section a bit..

Yep, I was looking at it last night and was thinking the same thing. This old guy at the local hot rod shop showed me how to terminate an fittings on braided stainless line, so i'm going to just do all my lines eventually.

Like Coach said, do NOTHING but clock that turbo and it will line up TITS!
