Walbro has 2 different models of 255HP pumps. The GSS341 and GSS342. The difference is either it has a offset inlet/outlet, or inlet/outlet on the same side. The AEM unit is universal unit that the in/out are offset. The in/out helps with install process.
Walbro 255's usually can be had under 100.00 with filter/wiring kit. The AEM unit is newer so not many people have heard about it I guess. But on a side note, if you look at all the newer 320lph+, they all seem to look alike minus the color differences

The aem fuel pump mentioned is fairly inexpensive at just under $100, why is this not a more popular fuel pump than the walbro 255lph. Flows more and costs less. Is it not as readily install-able?
On a side note, I'm sure some might say my decision to go top mount intercooled is cheaping out, but I base my decision on costs to relocate battery to trunk, solid front mount, and finding the right size intercooler/piping so as to keep AC and bumper intact. It's not ideal but it is temporary. I know going turbo is not cheap but staying within a limited budget and doing things the "right" way at the start really adds up. I'll even have the 2.5" exhaust until I can budget out for a complete 3 inch. I've had an se-r for 11 years and I'm ready to have more than a bolt on de.
