OEM SR20VET exhaust mani
Has anyone used one to great effect?

Current set up is 20V bottom end, 11:1 compression, P11 head, GTiR mani with external 38mm wastegate and China t25/8 running 11.5psi on the wastegate spring.

Obviously I don't hold out great hope for the longevity of the China turbo and in the future would love a 2871r or similar big t2 turbo to take its place.

I've heard from @Cozzm0_AU that the VET mani provides enough room to fit a 2871 including internal gate without machining the block, which would be awesome, so has anyone used one on their VE - with whatever turbo - and how'd you go? (especially interested if you can compare to results with GTiR mani :bigthumbup

Dan,

We recently had a customer send in his VET manifold for us to jig and build tubular T2 replacement manifolds. It does space the turbo out far enough to not have to grind the block down. From the 2 stock manifolds we have the VET and GtiR are spaced differently

What would your professional opinion be with regard to flow/power differences between the two?
I.e. would it be worthwhile getting the VET manifold and swapping them over?

From the looks of it, we don't feel as though it's much more improvement over the GTiR manifold. Seeing as though they both bottle neck down in the runners.

I actually thought the vet manifold looked more restrictive and poorer design than the Gtir one.
