We eliminated any electrical interference. We hooked up a mechanic boost gauge and it was bouncing around too. I have a feeling it may be the wastegate spring. Had the boost solenoid been working, we would have found out instantly.

I completely forgot to mention. Matt mentioned that the injector duty cycle was near 90%, which with 1000cc injectors should have been more like 70%. First step will be putting in a high flow pump.

Try opening the gap some? Mine did the same thing in the upper rpms until I opened the gap to .032. Almost identical dyno chart. Time for some head work and an intake manifold . Mine went 375 on 12psi on pump with 8.5:1 pistons. You've got lots left. I expected more with your setup.

The mac valve john has listed in the help section. I dont think i had good voltage. We cycled it at 50% and the valve wasnt.fluttering.

I agree. There is a lot left. Ill try throwing in another set of plugs with a bigger gap.

Any developments? Subscribed.
I'm interested to hear about any potential changes with the new wastegate spring. According to the Tial website I have a 13lb spring in my 38mm (large green). Without a MBC, running off WG spring pressure only, It'll only make about 7 or 8 psi. No boost leaks...something aint right. I called Tial who legit told me they'd be happy to take my money but felt I'd have the same result in buying a new spring. I was told their springs don't wear out and maybe go over my setup again before "wasting" my money.

I bought my Tial used many years ago, it always worked as I describe above. It's always baffled me, even more so after speaking with Tial.

No new developments yet. I'm replacing my trans first with a b15. Beens snowing and cold as fuck here lately. However, I'm going to be dropping down my spring pressure to 7lb so I can setup boost by gear. While I have it apart I am going to clean it and test it against metered air. After that I will be switching to a hks ssqv bov. I like the two way positive pressure valve setup. Following that will be an aem e85 turbine fuel pump.

Ah no doubt. Was hoping to learn through your experience, lol! And I feel ya on the cold, sub-30* here for a solid 1+ week! Most I've done is put a charger on my battery :-D

Still good reading here, I'll stay tuned. Good luck!
