You can actually induce a venturi if it's routed properly, which will help with exhaust evacuation out of the wastegate and prevent any kind of boostcreep. It also sounds way better IMO, I hate dumped wastegates. Had it for two weeks, never again, lol. On a street car of course.

I understand the concept if the low pressure on the wastegate if it were recirculated, but I want to know how dumping an external wastegate doesn't help reduce the flow demands of the exhaust???

Ahh, I misinterpreted you question then. It will increase the flow demand of the exhaust, but unless you are running a large turbo on low boost (a GT40 on 7psi for example, lol), the percentage of flow the wastegate dishes out compared to the turbo itself is fairly small. I have a 425whp SR (GT3071R @ 20psi) with a recirculated Tial V44, and I have no boost creep issues. I currently run 3" from the turbo to the catback, which then gets bigger (Apexi GT Spec).

I'd be curious to see some dyno charts comparing the two if anyone has done it. Same tune, same boost levels, only with exhausts swapped or removed. A full 4" system on these cars seems like a hassle to make work and is really only necessary when you are getting UP there in hp.

I'm definitely gonna do a 3.5 inch dp.... I suppose I can take my old 3 inch dp and do a back to back at jmr in the near future but it would just be the dp so I'm not sure how much of a difference if would be if any at all.
