My own Z32 air flow meter adapter.
I will be using a JWT computer on my car with a Z32 air flow meter. The problem that I ran into( and some of you might), is that the inlet to y turbo is 4 inch and the Z32 is 3 inch. I really didn't want to see a ugly transition coupling on my intake pipe holding the airflow meter. So I got an idea form a friend of mine after seeing it on his bmw with a SR20. The idea of placing the airflow meter inside the pipe. So here is my take on it.
Started off with a solid aluminum 5 round bar.
Machined the 4 bolt flange off the AFM.
Machined a hole a little smaller than the AFM in the middle offset from center.
Counter bored the inlet side so the AFM will fit inside.
Cut open to unsolder the connector and install wires for a remote connector.
AFM pressed into the new adapter with a little sealant.
And the final product.
Maintained the original connector.
Real happy with the way it turned out.
