Thread: Sr20det+ve head swap

im on a tubular setup top mount on a 35r

Vet cams must be hard to come by, I don't plan on going any bigger at this point. But would recommend vet's for a t2 set up like mine?

Vets especially for a t2 setup. They're a must. There was a set for sale not too long ago last I saw, they were still for sale

So one of you guys installed a Vvl head on a flat top pistons motor?

mine is with stock 20ve cams

Just get the pistons fly cut, I personally don't think it will hit because they are such low compression pistons but I could be wrong

they wont hit. my motor is timed already. i know for a fact it wont hit. as long as you are using stock 20ve cams. i have read that you can also use sr16ve cams also. but i have not tried it myself so i cant tell you for sure. and n1 cams wont work at all without valve reliefs

Sr16's will clear.

I'm wondering if you can use DET rings on vet pistons.

Also vet cams on stock DET pistons would interfere I'm guessing.

Stock 20ve head and DET pistons clear all day

20v rings and de rings are not interchangeable

What pistons are you guys using flat top or DET pistons .
Flat top will not clear
