Swaping Piston/rods into JDM DE
Hey guys I was just wondering. If I were to replace my pistons and rods in my JDM DE for stronger rods and pistons will it be an issue?

Ive been thinking about it recently. I was thinking of doing this on a budget as much as possible for the time and money that I have now.

Options?
GTIR? Blue Bird? Avenir?

Just some things that I have thought about in differences.

Clearing oil squirters?

Compression ratio differences?

I just dont feel like going going and spending tons on the CP, Eagle etc stuff.

If you guys were wondering, I've been experiencing blow by in cylinder number 4 :-/

from what I understand that the DET motors are better at handling their boost because of the compression ratios.

Also that DE motors have no oil squirters.

So I'm looking for a piston that will be able to handle the boost. I'm thinking maybe I should keep my stock rods wouldn't matter what flavor of DET piston because there is no oil squirters.

I'm mostly just thinking of the compression ratios with the change of pistons and thickness of head gasket

B13 SR20DE:
Compression Ratio: 9.5:1
Combustion chamber: 45 cc ??
Stock Head Gasket: 1.1 mm ??
Deck Height: 0.5 mm ??
Piston Dish Volume: ??

I'm just trying to figure the specifics so I can get to 8:5:1

Clarified by Andreas Miko,

All DE's and DET's have the same figures in question above. the only difference is the piston dish and cut skirts to clear the oil Squirters

And that is correct. Gtir pistons and rods will do u well
