I really don't think the studs are your problem here.

A dynamic compression test was done with the engine warm. I have yet to do a leak down test. The valves were check by a local reputable machine shop that resurfaced the head. As far as the block goes. Its been sitting on a stand for about 5 or 6 years assembled with with the head bolted on. When I got the engine I rebuilt it replacing the stock rods, head gasket, and head bolts. My friend I got it from said it was bored with a torque plate and decked. The rings are brand new also. I measured and file fit them myself.

Ok, now what was the compression for each cylinder?

Re: No compression....
Cylinders 1-4 read 100, 90, 60, 70 the second go around and 140, 60, 90, 70 the first time.

Those numbers are weird. Did you hone the cylinders before you installed the new rings?

Post a link to the head studs you bought.

Yes sir. I'm thinking there is a defect in the block somewhere.

Not not so quite sure there is a defect with the block. When you installed the rings, you followed the oem guide on how to stanger the rings, correct?

Yes I did. I don't remember them off the top of my head but they are all staggered correctly and the rings were measured and gapped within spec.

Leak down test required - also suggest doing it in the vehicle with the cooling system attached. Look & Listen for the leaks.

What was the oil pressure at?

If you have the head off of the block, put a straight edge on the deck. You can find out how to check this in the fsm as well. Im thinking two things here. Either the cylinders or the deck.

Re: No compression....
Oil pressure was 3 bar at idle warm. I'll do a leak down test over the weekend...
