ok .60 miles shy of 1000 after det swap and need advice on these 4 codes
good afternoon everyone.i swapped the det in my b14 using a reprogrammed ecu . setup is 370cc with se-r maf. comp 8 5 1.avenir engine.the following codes I have now on my cel light....

P0500-vehicle speed sensor... cluster is bad . have been tightening screws in back of cluster for years once in a blue and code doesn't come back along with the battery and brake light which disappears. until the shake loose again.

P1605-Automatic Transmission diagnosis communication line....I guess I got had by the guy I baught it from when he told me it was for a 5speed.would this affect the performance of the vehicle because its 5 speed? not sure if I should care about this code .please let me know if you can thanks in advance

P0135-front o2 heater....meaning it needs to be changed or something else.??car is showing indication of bad bank 1 sensor. minor hesitation through low gears. no cylinder misfire.

P1400-Egr Valve and Canister control solenoid valve...ecu was reprogrammed by calum years ago for this setup along with egr and 02 rear delete.i have the purge valves vaccum hoses connected and plugged in. any advice on this one because I am clueless why would this code come on since the ecu was reprogrammed for egr delete.

In the process of cutting up the hood for vents to help disipate the extra heat a turbo produces thinking that would be another reason why its possible the canister control solenoid and o2 sensor took a shit.other than that the car has no boost leaks. wanna take a 400 mile road trip next week. and don't wanna be stranded. I changed the oil sixty miles ago.did sixty miles yesterday car runs great on highway picks up speed quick on 5th gear. any information towards the trouble codes are very much appreciated .
Thank you in advance

also 3 systems not ready

egr of course 02 heater and catalyst???I just replaced my catalyctic converter 2 years ago when it was a regular de.with a new one .do det engines do this?

I think the b14 has a rear o2 sensor as well for the catalyst. If this is the case, it detects the functionality of the catalyst by comparing the values between the front and rear o2 sensors. Since your front o2 is probably bad... it would cause the catalyst to show not read since it cannot determine if it's working.
Have you tried unplugging your front o2? If it is bad, the car may run a bit smoother with it unplugged. I know since egts tend to be quite a bit higher with forced induction some o2 sensors and their placement don't do so well with the extra heat.
Just some thoughts.

Thanks for the input p10 .I know it had symptoms of failed primary o2 hesitation . As I vhanged this 6 years ago on the car will pivk one up tomorrow.the heat is a big issue I think with these cars very cluttered bay. Will be putting vents in soon enough

Hope it helps.
One thing I'd do too just to give some extra help is to make a simple heat sink for the sensor. Not sure about narrow band, but I know it's recommended for the wideband LC1 to take a small square of copper sheet metal, drill a hole for the O2 sensor, and place it on the o2 sensor before threading into the bung. May help extend the life of the sensor, I know they aren't cheep, but copper sheeting is.

As far as it being an auto ecu, performance wise, I would imagine the ecu responds differently when it can't detect a signal from the auto tranny, but I just don't know for sure so I don't want to say anything.

For the EGR code, idk what type of delete was performed on it when programming it, but I wonder if it was just deletion of the EGR temp sensor. If that's the case then it would still pop a code for the solenoid.

AUTO ECU will not effect anything but the code. The EGR and rear 02 delete only works sometimes, not for all cars. Only real way to get rid of that is do convert to obd1.

.thank you likethemovies. Helps a lot.do you know if I can pass inspection in new york if i do the step down? If anyone knows if I can get a legit pass so I can renew the registration ?

stepdown would not cause any codes, it will not let your obd2 reader to work either so if thats necessary to pass it will fail.

Yea they use the diagnostc plug to inspect.is there anyway of checking to see if that purge valve is working via multimeter?

Resurrection of thread

Exhaust manifold gasket was shot and j pipe bolts were coming off......fixed replaced gasket and bolts
replaced front o2 sensor with 300zx tt nissan one.
spool came back hesitation stopped

Catalytic converter was melted on o2 side......gutted cat replaced o2 sensor
Need spacer that's m12 1.25 Dorman spark plug non folders don't come that small

Auto iacv from avenir replaced with manual iacv from b14.....cars erratic idle stopped solid rims

Evap purge valve never messed with it yet.maybe too much flow maybe. Because its not connected to egregious

I still have all codes except for vss.

Running calum ecu
Program is for
se-r Maf
370cc injectors 3 bar
8 5 1 det compression

Anyone have any ideas? Will be checking next for o2 wires to ecu to see if its a frayed wire

Could this happen from improper tps set.I never set it with multimeter.just centered it and tightened screws.
