And yeah, we have 93 everywhere here. We Even have a gas station with 110! Make sure when you head to Marsh you have a tank of 91 since that's what you'll probably be running most of the time.

I hope to get my VE valve cover on before next weekend and get her smoked out for any potential boost/vac leaks. I got a buddy at a shop who will do it for nothing. All my other "buddies" wanna charge an hours labor, they can eat me! If I'm avail I'd be down to take a ride but doubt ill be ready to tune this week.

Damn let us know how much power you make on the dyno.. Sucks that happened but could of been avoided. I know they say coulda shoulda woulda but id be way to paranoid
too push it hard without a wide-band ( which you have ).

Back when we my buddy was pushing a 600+HP Sentra ( 30lbs of boost + 125 shot ) this was 2000 way before VE's were readily available
and P11 transmissions we ran a JWT and never once cooked a motor im talking 300+ passes 3 seasons of repeat abuse. Just gotta play smart.

Alot of people on here nowadays dog the JWT route but it can work perfect with less trial and error, Not 100% max power tune for sure but can be as reliable as a stock tune your car comes with and handle big power.

Let me know if you wanna off load that OBD1 JWT, Im not sure when I can get to a dyno so I may toy with a JWT im still on a JK Tune and its working great 10.8-11 AFR at WOT
and its a base tune ( 10lbs of boost ).. Car passed inspection and runs great, Def not max potential or 100% on part throttle but feels solid.

I'm definitely going to be more cautious, the JK base tune is great. I new to figure out if I need to change my base tune because of the compression ratio and I'm trying to get in touch with John Kerr, with no luck.

I'm selling the JWT. They're not a bad way to go.

Maybe your JK tune would work for me. My boost controller was mis labeled go figure and a friend turned it down but actually turned it up and things went boom.

But I got a new cometic head gasket, 78e rods and 54c pistons with new rings on all pistons.

Sounds like you have not had luck getting parts but I would ditch that Cometic gasket and get a ve or vet gasket. I have not had good luck with Cometic on sr's and I'm not the only one. Not even close... If you need an upgraded gasket which I doubt or feel more comfortable with one get a Cosworth.

She's on now and it's too late but if she pops I know I can do it in 5 hours, thanks for the heads up man. Anyone else have any input on this?

X2 on tossing the cometic. I don't have personal experience but have only ever read negative feedback with them on an SR. I'm running a VE triple layer, similar setup to you, 30k miles.

Cool, thanks for the input I will have to see when it pops

PM me a price for your OBD1 JWT ECU, I can share my OBD1 tune which has ran great I would just touch
base with JK to be sure its safe or can be modified for your setup.

My Tune is for =

Avenir DET T25 on 10lbs ( 8.5.1 )
N60 MAF
370 CC's ( im sure you/he can mod for this )

But its probably the same tune you have already from him. AFR's are around 10.8-11 not optimal but def on the safe side and not that rich
to where I sputter at all and my bumper is stays pretty clean.
