It hurts spool time greatly because of the housing differences and having to split the open into two at the turbo. With the BW turbo i was running, if i had gone with a twin scroll manifold I could have seen probably almost 1000 rpm difference in spool time....Thats the affect. lol. However that was with a pretty large turbo.

Keep the housings the same....Stick to open or twin scroll on both the manifold and turbo. Dont mix.

My manifold is still available and like I said, you can always find open housings for pretty much any turbo out there for cheap.

It has a bad effect on flow and will create pulses in the exhaust flow. The wall that separates it is thick and will not spread the exhaust flow evenly around the wheel. There is no control or way of dictating its flow.
It was visible on the Dyno graph and everyone that was there heard the exhaust tone come in and out. It hurt power enough that the car lost 50+ whp at the same boost. We swapped back our smaller open type rear housing and voila.

I think I'm just gonna find a different turbo and go open scroll.... or say screw it and just upgrade to a 2871 and keep my current manifold for now... That would be the simplest option, and I'd still be able to hit a respectable 400whp... good enough for street, I think.

Thanks for the input everyone. I appreciate it.
