GTiR Valve Seats - Same as DE/DET?
Are the intake/exhaust valve seats the same on a GTiR as any other SR20? Or is this one of those parts that's different?

Also, are the valves the same between this motor an any USDM SR20? Might need those and not seats, but I'm not sure yet.

Thanks!

Need to know quickly. Have to get some on order for the machine shop.

What about the exhaust valve guides? Turns out that's the problem.

54C exhaust guides are 1mm shorter than other DET engines (I am 98% sure but that leaves 2% where I could be wrong)

Thanks. I went ahead and just ordered a set of the GTiR valve guides from JWT. They were only $51 + shipping, so not killer at all.

Would you guys happen to know which cams can be dropped into the GTiR? The person I bought it off of used the intake came in an SR20DET and the engine was sold... unfortunately.

I have a set of SR20DET cams, one GTiR exhaust cam, and one JWT S4 exhaust cam. What are my best options here?

Thanks

Tomei makes cams for the solid lifters, as does JWT (S3M, C6M), Kelford makes some.

As far as what specs to get, all that depends on your power goals, desire of where the power is delivered, application used, turbo or not etc.......

P.S. Don't forget shims.

From what I've read, I won't be able to use my SR20DET cams in the GTiR because of the solid lifters... that's a real bummer. Any thoughts on where to get a single GTiR intake cam??? lol

I have the JWT S3M in one of my 54C engines. They work just fine for what I'm doing with that car - nothing crazy.

Aren't the JWT S3M cams designed for the GTiR head? I wouldn't expect any issues with them. I have straight SR20DET cams... from a bluebird... as I understand it, they won't work without issues.
