I bet it's not even 1.75, i bet they just drill one hole for the wastegate so it's only let gas out for #1.

I thought that was the best place to get it put. Its got ZERO room wheb the dp is hooked up.

that's the worse place you can put it. the info on the best place for that manifold can be found on google.

So should I get a new manifold or is it ok just in a bad spot?

Get a gtir manifold with wastegate in the correct spot.

And why is your vacuum only at circa 10?? Also, why is your wastegate only fed by 1.75 runners??? Why is there an old feed line running right across the (hot) valvecover?? Why is your A/F not hooked up??

There are so many things wrong with this build.............

I feel terribly sorry for that little ol' DE and what you are putting it through. But it's a testament to how stout these little engines are

Vac has always been at 10 since I got tye car .
What are 1.75 runners?
Its temp (oil line)
I only have a open dp. Ill have afrs hooked up by next week promise.

Im very easy on my motor. It hasnt seen full throttle but that video and the first times I was testing her out.

Just testing right now man.
Getting ready to get a jwt ecu 72lb msd and 300zx

1) Good Vacuum should be at circa 20in.Hg without a decent size cam and with a sizable/street cam, between 15-18 in.Hg
2) .75 meaning a fraction as in 3/4s. To break it down, the wastegate is only sitting on one of the runers or exhaust port as compared to at the collector of all four. Basically, you are not fully diverting the correct amount of exhaust from the turbine. In turn, the turbine/turbo is still seeing exhaust, which turns the shaft and spin the compressor. Basically, even with the gate open, some exhaust is still going to the turbo and creating boost, hence the boost spike reference
3) You ran the car with the line just like that I assume in the video you made, correct? All it takes is one time.............You also have the wastegate vacuum line ran across the entirety of the valve cover. Again, a big NO NO!
4) Having an open downpipe is not excuse to NOT have the wideband hooked up! It takes less than 5 minutes to well another bung.............ashton has his in the upfacing downpipe

Good luck!

thanks for explaining man.
Ill get her right.
debating on going to a t28 till i get back from wyotech.
then I can go nemu etc if I go up there and learn all I can Ill say ill be ok.

reason why there wasnt a afr gauge hooked up was i cut my exhaust and let if on the car.
I have a full exhaust now but my ic piping comes into play where the bug is so I cant put the wideband in just yet.
but the car always was at -10 ever since I had it.
going to save my 18g and go back to a t28 until after school.
I think thats the best option for me.
I wont tear up this t28 cause I found my oil leak and fixed it. so thats good to go now.
ill get her lined out.
but down the road it will have the 18g setup on it when I learn more about how a car works
im a REAL NOOBIE but I am trying and thats all that matters to me.
I know Ive been a "hard head" at points and times but who isnt.

thats my plans.
go back to what the car is tuned for.

Ideal location is where the runners merge and direction should be inline with exhaust flow in a convex configuration.

heres a picture of a pretty good setup for a stock manifold.
