Blow Thru Piping Setup
I've been trying to figure this out lately. I purchased piping from a forum member and its setup as blow thru. But searching I've found that where the BOV is placed, people have different opinions on.

Does it go before the intercooler on the hotside of the piping or before the MAF on the cold side of the piping?

The way mine is setup is on the cold side before the MAF. I'm putting a different BOV on and just making sure that it is the correct place to put on.

Let me know all your guys input on this, I know most people don't run this way, but I like the sound (yeah w/e lol) and it's already setup for it lol.

yeah its fine where you have it, as long as its before the maf, mine sits only inches away from my maf and its fine, as long as the bov is basicly closed during idle it will be fine to even have it close, most say at least 12 inches away from the maf, i didnt intend for it to be so close but thats how it ended up after getting all the pipes in the bay. But its worked fine with no problems, you will love the blow through if setup properly

This is how mine is setup. I'm also gonna make a custom intake pipe that is 3". I know there are some flanges that go on it, but I'm not sure where they go and how many there are.

Technically it would be better to have it before the intercooler to blow off hot not cooled air. where as if it is after the intercooler you will be blowing off already cooled air. It doesnt really make a difference but if you think about it having it before the intercooler would be more efficient because you would not be wasting already cooled air.

I always run them on the hitside piping or right on the hot side intercooler end tank. That way you blow off hot air.

Technically, you can put it ANYWHERE as long as it is BEFORE the maf sensor.

so it doesn't really matter, I'll probably just cut off the old flange for greddy and put the turbo xs one on there so I don't have to make another hole.
