another "bluebird swap, crank no start" thread
hey guys. i have just finished my swap and i have read the previous threads and checked many things as i have been stuck with this problem for the past two days now.
yesterday i wasnt able to get crank
This morning I bypassed the inhibitor relay and watta ya know. I got crank!!! however, it did not fire. It was as if it wasnt cranking fast enough and it seemed like the lights were dim. So then i charged the battery, and while I was doing that i made sure everything else was good. I put the newly charged battery in, tried to start, and i got normal paced crank but it still would not fire! I checked to see if i got spark, and indeed i did. all my plugs were also soaked, so the next thing i thought about was the firing order. I checked that, and corrected it and cleaned the plugs. then it finally started, and ran for 2 seconds and then died. It sounded kinda rough. I think it was running rich. After that succesful attempt, i was no longer able to get anything out of it

I am using the OEM b14 se-r ECU (n/a 9.5:1 CR) untuned
i swapped the usdm sensors and using the usdm wiring harness.
Motor: u12 det, with stock t25, stock 370cc's 8.5:1 CR

Any ideas? Should it atleast idle with this ECU? or will i need to get a tuned ecu? anything else i should check? suggestions are appreciated. thanks guys.

used the jdm ecu with my ghetto made obd2 to obd1 harness, swapped the jdm o2 sensor in, and it fired!!!!

note to people : dont use untuned ecu's if the motors are far from similar.
