get an external dump pipe. Helps flow if using log manifold and sounds fresh.

Normally the VE head outflows the DE head at most RPMS, so you would not give up much spool time as you think. Headflow is the name of the game here

Ya, I'm just saying if you can rev the head out to 9k then you can get away with a turbo that starts spooling at 5k rpm.
