Great deal. But is that radiator a double thick like an NX? Does it cool any better or worse than an OEM B13 radiator?

Those eBay Koyo's are just the OEM replacements - notice the add even states they are made of aluminum and plastic. I'm sure they are very good for what they are - but they are not the item that I believe most people expect when discussing the Koyo.

I don't recall the part number for the performance Koyo, but they aren't $100 - I expect Coach is selling the real deal. I have a Koyo in my NX as it is a track car (when it is driven). I have it for piece of mind along with the NX's well-known issues with cooling.

It was my same assumption that these units on ebay are not the the all aluminum thick core racing units that most people think when they hear Koyo. I am just wondering if they perform any better than the OEM unit. I think for my needs an NX radiator should suffice. Any particular brand or model I should get in the double thick NX style?

Just get any NX radiator...

I ran a parts store nx replacement w/ a greddy cap on my turbo sentra... and it took a while to warm up when it was cold. When driving It barely ever got over 170 degree temps when hot outside. I had to try... literally wait in place with the car running for the fans to ever come on the whole time i had the car...

Keep in mind this is with no A/C condenser in the way.

I recently bought a used koyo and it's going in the nx this summer...

Can you provide the location that states "OEM replacement" is larger than OEM? OEM Replacement to me is going to AutoZone, etc and asking for whatever part you need. It will get the job done, but very likely is not manufactured to the same tolerances - especially for cars as old as ours. Which it could be smaller as that part number could include the 1.6L cars.

My preference would be to run a performance Koyo, then a new OEM Nissan NX radiator, then an aftermarket OEM replacement NX radiator. The last option is probably good enough for 95% of the vehicles reading this thread; but that is just how I associate quality.

well i would think that the koyo oem ones, they ar just not engineered to the extent of the performance radiators, nut again i really think it depends on the ammount of power, place u live, ect to he fact of rather or not you need the perfomance one
