Thread: Downpipe gasket

Need a gasket for my downpipe. Was wondering where you guys bought your gaskets from. Need one for a 2.5" dp.

From the J pipe to downpipe? If so use a 3 inch Mr Gasket copper collector Gasket and hog the holes out a bit. For the 2 bolt Gasket I just ordered a couple aluminum ones from ebay

Yeah the gasket from the j-pipe to dp. Only thing is I need a gasket for a 2.5 inch dp, not a 3 inch.

For the stock j-pipe you need a 3" one.

2.5 inch gaskets holes are too far off

try fitting a 3" gasket on a stock j-pipe, aint gunna happen cap'n.

hell i got one sitting in my box-o-parts that i got when i did my turbo install, i had to order a 2.5" one then mod the holes a bit, no biggy after that.

the factory "gasket" is just a copper donut thing that gets squished when u tighten it down.

Yeah, factory gasket you can get from GregV at GSpec but it is a fire ring gasket. It won't seal well against the aftermarket downpipes we use. Best bet is a 2.5" like suggested above and slot the bolt holes out and use some copper high temp exhaust gasket sealer around the bolt areas to seal it good.

would that fit on a 3" downpipe for a T25?? ^
