Wastegate Actuator Replacement
For those of you who have replaced the wastegate actuator on an avenir manifold mounted turbo, is it possible with the turbo on the car. Or does it require removal of the turbo.

I doubt you can reach the e-clip that holds the arm on the swing valve with out removing the manifold.

I'm bumping this up..I'm changing out my wastegate for the 5th time and I'm thinking this time I can possibly do it without taking the turbo out of the car. I'm thinking if I just back off the turbo from the exhaust manifold I can do it without taking the downpipe off, but it's been so long since I did it last that I can't remember if this is even possible.

Anyone else?

!!UPDATE!! For anyone searching this and wondering...I was able to do this without taking the turbo out of the car, but it required unbolting the downpipe (we did it from the 2 bolt side) and taking the radiator out. We just backed off the turbo from the manifold enough to get room to change the wastegate. I was replacing a slim fan anyways so I had the radiator out, but I don't see this possible with the radiator in the car..turbo must come out to change wastegate in the avenir setup.
