GTI-R MAF Sensor in Ford Housing
Like the title says, I am interested in installing the MAF sensor into a ford 70mm housing. I am not looking for more hp, just better flow. i am running a blow tru setup on the gti-r maf and I know is very restrictive and should run draw tru. Thing is, it's too late. had a z32 maf but it took a hike so had to use the gti-r again and piping would not allow me to go draw tru.

Does the 70mm Mustang Cobra bolt up to the sensor? i see them online cheap. Dont care for the sensor it self. just the housing. Can this work?

No, the sensors are calibrated for specific housings and diameters. You can't just swap them. You can run a ford maf if you use an safc or custom ecu board.

ok thanks, All I needed to know. I guess the ford MAF would be better for a blow tru setup seeing that it is out of aluminum and not plastic.

I am not sure. never got the car on a dyno as we no longer have one. i would estimate close to 300whp. I am running 15psi on the BB t28 turbo. so maybe even less. Thats my guess.

Sounds to me you would be fine with a z32 Maf and a billet blow through housing

When I had the z32 I felt that the car did not respond as well down low as the gitr maf. Not sure if this is because of the blow tru setup. Maf was not leaking either. Also for some reason i now have to set my apexi to gti-r maf in and gtir maf out. before it was to z32 out. not sure what happened or if the jun was really for a z32. I guess i should take off the top and check to see if there is any notes inside.
