Thread: Interesting Question

Last season I was dealing with boost leaks. I fixed them and all seemed good until the other day. So I capped of just the IC system to pressure check it, and no matter what we did it kept blowing out through the dip stick. Is this normal? Don't see why air would be getting in and out there.

Do you have any PVC lines going to your IC pipes? Lets see a pic of your engine bay and how you have hoses routed.

Yup. If you were pressure testing from the intake pipe you may have to cap some hoses (I do).

There is nothing wrong with doing it that way IMO. I find leaks in old hoses that way and once I found one in the head gasket that way. Although it is harder to find some of the leaks that way.
