I cant imagine that pulling the tstat would help... the water wouldnt stay in the radiator long enough for it to cool much.... But ive never tried it either.

I am not a fan of pulling the thermostat, the fans work even when its getting hot i feel like the radiator is coooling her down enough

leave the tstat in. Otherwise the car will run too cool and be in open loop all the time. Gas mileage gets worse, car runs rich etc.

If you've changed the tstat, the water pump, and got all the air out of the system, you've got a clogged radiator...simple as that.

Only time I've ever had boiling coolant in my overflow, the thermostat was toast.

Since you've already replaced it, along with just about everything else, I'd def agree that it's time to replace the radiator.

MAKE SURE you bleed the system properly as well. It will cause overheating quick especially with the a/c if you don't.

Cut holes in your bumper and vent the hood. I did that to my NX and it helped quite a bit. I always drove around with heat on too. It wasn't too bad with the t tops off. But most importantly, check to see that you don't have air bubbles in the coolant and/or a faulty radiator.

Running with no Tstat makes the car run WAAAAY cooler. In hot weather like this the tstat is gonna be fully open anyway after about 5-10 minutes of driving on a boosted car. To me the thermostat is just an obstruction at this point for water flow IMO. So I never run a T stat in the summer. If you have something to tune with then your fine.

nice! Why Nissan didn't think of this when they engineered the car..idk. I know it does fine stock, but still, more air the better!
