That's what I thought before I rebuilt the turbo, now the turbo is practically brand new so it shouldn't be the case.

Ordered some valve stem seals, will be replacing them after I get the tools from Keo

make sure you don't drop a valve. I wish I had replaced my seals while I had the motor apart. face palm

As long as you put piston at TDC there is no worry of valve drop..... Just make sure to also lock it with transmission so crank doesn't rotate.

Can you replace valve stem seals with the head in the car? Just wondering...

Yes... When I did it in the past is took ~2hrs total.
