t28 on a DET with JWT tuned for t25?
i've had a t28 sitting for about a few months now. reason why i have not put it on yet is because i do not have the supporting mods(bigger inj, fuel pump) for it yet. the oil seals on my t25 are pretty much bad, light smoke coming out of the exhaust when driving, then a pretty thick cloud when i get on it. oil getting spat out the BOV. i took off my FMIC to get to something and noticed an abnormal amount of oil that came out of it.

so what i want to know is what will happen if i put my t28 on? it should lean out right?

currently i have an avenir DET in my B14 with 2.5" DP, 2.5" test pipe, 3" Cat Back, FMIC, and a Boost Gauge.

JWT ECU programmed for
370s @ 3 bar
Stock B14 MAF

thanks

The larger turbo will cause for lower intake temperatures at the same boost level, lowering your knock tendency.

That said, I see no problem with you running the larger turbo, as long as the intake plenum pressure is regulated to the same pressure. Afr's should be very close to the same if not slightly leaner due to a denser charge at max boost due to the lower temperature. Response will be slightly lower with the larger compressor/turbine.

I hope you have an afr gauge. Slap it on and see what you get.

Get the ECU reprogrammed for bored MAF and 4 bar fuel presure, it will cost $100 and you will be good up to 290 WHP. I can get you a bored MAF for $50.

You need to upgrade your fuel pump before anything. Your already pushing your luck on the stock pump as it is with the t25. After that and an adjustable regulator, throw the turbo on there and keep the boost at or below 10 lbs and you will be fine on the program you have. Your not going to make more than 240whp on 10lbs with stock cams anyways.

I plan to get it reprogrammed eventually, just funds are real tight right now.
