6 speed swap beware!
Now that I have your attention, I just want you guys to know if you have the Mazworx axle bracket there is something you need to do before putting the car together...

Take the allen-head screws out of the axle bracket and use red loctite on them. I had an axle seal leak on the passenger side, and when going to change it I found all of the screws holding the 2-halves of the bracket were completely loose. This caused the axle to bang around in the loose axle bracket.

I thought the squashed motor mount was causing too much engine movement, thus the banging noise. After working on the car today I found the axle bracket issue. If it had gotten worse, it could have cracked the transmission case, and I would hate to think of the worst-case scenario.

Note to guys at Mazworx, please loctite those screws in place.

Anyway, I decided to replace another blown up oil sending unit. Then I replaced the ball joints. And fender liners are installed now. Car drives awesome, but the 225 width tires rub at full lock. I may step down to a 215 to keep the rubbing to a minimum.

You should post that in the 6 speed how to swap.

I added the info to the how-to thread. I can't imagine how much damage could have been caused if those bolts worked themselves loose while beating on it. Could have been a disaster.

Ill do mine before they go back together. Im sure if they were loose I would have noticed when I took it out but thanks man. I dont have near the miles you have on your swap. Ive probably put maybe 1000 miles on it soo far.

Thanks again for the tip Jeremy.

Good luck guys. I drove this car throughout the winter while it was warm and sunny. Drove the car today. its epic.

Definitely don't want anyone to have issues with the swap. It isn't cheap or easy, so if I can help resolve any issues beforehand...
