Or if you have a multimeter you could check to make sure your on the right wire. You may have wired it to the wrong power wire or grounds. Follow the instructions, use a multimeter to see if you have your switched 12v positive wire right and make sure you are on the proper ground wire. Always double check your work.

That's what I used to decipher everything to get it wired up.

Will have to check with a multimeter but there was a write up on this for which pins to use but I'm pretty sure it is hooked up right though. Will have to tear back apart and double check everything.

Update so when I direct plug it to my battery it works but when I hook it up the red wire + and the black and brown wire - doesn't seem to power up. Checked again to make sure I have the correct pins I'm using 110 for + and 48 for ground.

Are you talking about directly to the battery? or it works fine directly to the battery with the red on the positive and the black and brown on the negative but wont work when its wired to the ecu?

Or it wont work if you touch both the black and the brown on the negative post and the red on the positive?

Sounds like you got the power to the wrong pins and so on. Need to see if you have your pins correct and if you have your ignition on 12v supply and good ground. Also if you said the motor is out of the car correct. If so thats the reason why it wasnt coming on being your ecu grounds on the motor, lol.

If you find your ground wires on the engine harness and ground them to the chassis somewhere or jumper it to the negative of the battery you should get your proper ground you need. The entire ecu and engine harness grounds off those connectors that would normally ground on the intake manifold.

Correct it will work hooked up to the battery but when I hook it back up to the harness just the red wire + and the black and brown wire - it doesn't power up when I turn the ignition to on.

That's why I asked if it would make a difference will the motor being out of the car now I know why it won't power up now lol

I already cut the harness, now I gotta rewire them back in the harness I'm almost sure it's wired correctly.
