Yeah ashton stock det pistons and rods, arp rod bolts, calico coated acl race bearings, cosworth head gasket, mazworx head studs, stock ve head with stock sr20ve cams,springs and retainers. Hopefully revving to 8K will be ok.

You should be alright, I know with stock cams the valves begin to float between 7500 and 7800 from what most have said and that will hurt power in that area. But you should be alright.

8k on stock springs with stock 2.0 cams? ummm no your going to float the valves.

So what should I set it at 7500?? My ecu doesnt have a rev limiter so I'm setting it with my MSD box.

7500 is safe on stock 2.0 cams. some people take it to 8 and say they never had problems. don't if they ever check there valves to see what happened to them. From my personal experience I had a few bent valves that the motor seemed fine till I took my head to get ported and was informed that I had 6 bent valves.

curious what the compression tests looked like on that motor before you took it apart?
