Thread: Possible Leak Help Needed

I was driving my car and the Blow-Off valve started to sound funny. I would still get the "psshh" sound but it sounded louder and as if it was coming from another location than it normally does. I would drive and it started to run like garbage almost as if the engine is not getting enough air. It downshifted normal but as soon as i came to a complete stop the car would completely shut off. I will try to inspect it tomorrow after work or possibly this weekend for any blown gaskets anywhere. Has anyone else experienced this before? Is it possibly a boost leak or a vacuum leak? Where should I look first?

You car developed a boost leak. Check all couplers and clamps to make sure that they are tight and that the couplers are not blown off or have tears in them. Pressure test your turbo piping.

That's what I am thinking too. I will go ahead and build a boost leak tester and check it out this weekend. I have never had this problem before. I will update if the problem still persists. Thanks!

Tested it and found multiple boost leaks mainly a big one around the Throttle Body Coupler. All leaks are fixed now and its never been running stronger. Thanks Again!
